It is true that the majority of HV system operators use safety rules that started life as electricity Board Rules or MOD safety rules. What the companies adopting these rules do not appreciate is that they are written for totally different environments. Safety from the system and safety on the system are totally different requirements and the staff that operate under the different rules come from totally different backgrounds with different mentalities. Both equally right in their own environment However we believe that many of the safety rules are overly prohibitive and in truth many are not followed. Once one breaks the rules it is easy to continue to break rules and we see that there is a major need for companies operating on HV networks to be comfortable with the remit and their responsibilities We can deliver a set of HV safety rules that are totally geared to your sites operation al needs and the level of operational competence of your staff. Generic safety rules may require excessive amounts fo paper work however our approach is that safety is paramount and that paper alone will not reduce the risk.
